Acclaimed John Bryne Band to Play at Historic Christ Church & Museum May 21
Using the superb acoustics of the landmark 1735 church, Historic Christ Church & Museum is presenting a spring concert Bringing Music to Life featuring a nationally and internationally known band. The May 21st event features the Philadelphia-based John Byrne Band, led by its eponymous Dublin native. With critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic, John’s music honors and expands upon Celtic/folk musical and lyrical traditions. Renowned for its splendid story-telling, top-notch musicianship and creative mix of songs, the six-member band is an acoustic banjo/accordion, fiddle/cello, guitars, drums and brass ensemble.
Funded in part by a Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts grant, this concert is part of a new musical series to enhance performing arts opportunities in our area. As Peggy Stalnaker, President of the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts notes “Kudos to Historic Christ Church for developing a great cultural program.”
Mark your calendars for this exciting evening of fun and music. The concert begins at 5:30 p.m. and concludes at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are now available online.
