| SCHOOL PROGRAMS DOCENT |

School programs docents work directly with students, leading them through a range of hands-on, object-based activities. Our programs target 4th-grade Virginia Studies Standards of Learning (SOLs). A majority of the students who visit are 4th-graders; however, we do get 1st-graders as well as high school students, and we can adapt our programs to meet each group's specific needs.
Programs are offered September-November and February-June. Most classes visit during the spring. Tours are scheduled Monday-Friday and usually last from about 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
