RESEARCH
Job Description: The committee is charged with ongoing research of the history of Christ Church Parish, its churches, and its parishioners (Parish Profile). The accumulated information augments our interpretive and educational programs and serves research scholars. Researchers compiling lists of Carter descendants update and enter new material in the Carter descendants’ database.

Researchers may work independently on assigned tasks or together with others assigned to the same project. Research facilities include the Research Library in the Carter Reception Center, the Mary Ball Washington Museum Library, and the Records Room in the Lancaster Court House.
Time Commitment: Researchers should be prepared to complete their projects in a timely fashion and attend the progress meetings. On the job training and a handbook are provided in addition to the required volunteer training.
