FLOWERS
Job Description: Flower arrangers provide flowers for the communion table in the Church using native Virginia plant material, arranged in eighteenth-century manner. Volunteers are also responsible for maintaining and/or replacing the flowers in the arrangements during their week.
Time Commitment: Each committee member is scheduled for one week (Monday through Saturday) during the year, plus training. The Carter Reception Center is open from April 1 through November 30 (closed Thanksgiving Day).
Desired Qualifications:
  • No prior knowledge of eighteenth-century flower arranging necessary
  • Willingness to participate in training
  • Dependability
  • Flexibility
