The Robert “King” Carter Society recognizes all those who have included Historic Christ Church in their estate plans and encourages others to consider similar plans. We provide guidance and materials to help individuals explore their philanthropy.
Membership in the society is open to all who have provided for Historic Christ Church’s future through deferred giving plans such as bequests, life-income gifts, life estates, life insurance policies or pension plan gifts.
The society was established in 1997 in honor of Robert “King” Carter, who made one of our first planned gifts through his will, in which he left 200 to help finance the building of Historic Christ Church, which was completed in 1735, three years after Carter’s death. His spirit, drive, devotion and vision make him a most worthy model for all who plan a gift for Historic Christ Church.
You can continue the vision of Robert “King” Carter and help lay the foundation for the future of the Foundation. If you have already made a plan for Historic Christ Church, thank you. Please fill out the confidential form so we may include you in the Society. If you wish to include Historic Christ Church in your charitable plans, we can help maximize your gift for you and the Foundation.
