Children can find plenty of exciting things to do at Historic Christ Church. Each summer, the grounds come alive with hands-on activities that teach young visitors about the history of the church and life in colonial Virginia.
The "Second Saturdays" of July and August are time for colonial games and crafts and lemonade and cookies.

Every July, children can join us for a "Hands-On History Day," where they use hands-on lessons and interaction with reproduction objects to uncover the past of Christ Church.

When you visit, be sure to pick up a Museum Activity Book. It's packed with things like a museum artifact hunt, a brickmaking crossword puzzle, and a Carter Tombs word scramble.

Whether trying on colonial clothing, molding a brick like eighteenth-century craftsmen, or searching for artifacts in our museum, children and their families can make their visit to Historic Christ Church a fun-filled day of history!
