Children can find plenty of exciting things to do at Historic Christ Church. Each summer, the museum and grounds come alive with hands-on activities that teach young visitors about the history of the church and life in colonial Virginia.
The "Second Saturday" of July is time for HCC's annual Ice Cream Social and colonial games and crafts.

Every July, children can join us for a "Hands-On History Day," where they use hands-on lessons and interaction with reproduction objects to uncover Christ Church's past.

Build walls, roof trusses and arches with keystones in the “Undertaker’s Corner.” Be sure to pick up a Museum Activity Book, which has an artifact hunt, brickmaking crossword puzzle, Carter tombs word scramble, Christ Church Parish maze and other fun activities.

Whether writing with quill pens, trying on colonial clothing, molding a brick like eighteenth-century craftsmen, or building a wall in our new museum, children and their families can make their visit to Historic Christ Church a fun-filled day of history!
