| Children can find plenty of exciting things to do at Historic Christ Church. Each summer, the grounds come alive with hands-on activities that teach young visitors about the history of the church and life in colonial Virginia. |
The "Second Saturdays" of June, July, and August are time for colonial games and crafts and lemonade and cookies.
Every July, children can join us for a "Hands-On History Day," where they use hands-on lessons and interaction with reproduction objects to uncover the past of Christ Church.
When you visit, be sure to pick up a Museum Activity Book. It's packed with things like a museum artifact hunt, a brickmaking crossword puzzle, and a Carter Tombs word scramble.
| Whether trying on colonial clothing, molding a brick like eighteenth-century craftsmen, or searching for artifacts in our museum, children and their families can make their visit to Historic Christ Church a fun-filled day of history!
